Fumi is a professional in corporate management and organizational change, with a dream to help others create their unique differences.
After spending a number of years studying and working in Beijing, Vancouver, Seoul, and Manila, Fumi is now based out of Tokyo. A graduate from Beijing University, Fumi has experienced a range of workplaces and working styles including working as an independent freelancer, full-time in TYO listed companies, and more recently starting up smaller ventures.
Fumi is passionate about solving the complex challenges faced by Japanese companies, which oftentimes struggle to keep up with the evolving modern business landscape. He has brought together a team of similarly global-minded creators who are passionate about Japan and using their expertise to support Japanese businesses.
Born in South Korea, Sarah’s favorite pastime is reading in the great outdoors.
Sarah is a professional researcher specializing in Japan-China-South Korea research.
From a young age Sarah traveled with her father to China and Japan. Through these experiences she became passionate about her neighbouring Asian nations, and during university chose to study abroad in China and Japan. Sarah majored in International Relations and Government Economics.
Following graduation Sarah worked in large corporations in both South Korea and Japan, most recently supporting inbound businesses entering Japan with market research and strategy.
From Hokkaido, Akihito enjoys the outdoors whether it be snowboarding during winter or going for a drive in the summer.
Akihito is a professional web developer, able to make abstract ideas into beautiful websites.
After working as a Web Director at Septeni Holdings, Akihito joined COSBEAUTY JAPAN as a Web Master and managed projects developing corporate home pages and e-commerce sites, including stores on one of Japan’s largest online retailers Rakuten.
Akihito is experienced in directing, designing, coding, and all things related to web development.
Born in Japan to a Turkish father and Chinese mother, Filiz is an identical twin. In her free time she enjoys exploring cafes, and in the evenings listening to jazz over a nice glass of red wine.
Filiz is a professional in team building and employee development.
From a young age Filiz has lived between Japan, China and Turkey. She graduated from Beijing University with majors in International Relations and Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.
Since her student days Filiz has been an interpreter/translator for international conferences and events, and has become highly experienced in bridging the gap between different cultures and languages. In the workplace she has specialized in early childhood education.
Filiz is one of our resident polyglots, able to speak Japanese, Chinese, English, Korean and Turkish.
From Fukushima, Mitsutaka thoroughly enjoys strong whiskey highballs.
Mitsutaka is a professional designer, able to bring clarity to abstract ideas through his meaningful designs.
After working as a graphic designer for an apparel brand, he gained further experience at a boutique design studio. Mitsutaka has been an independent graphic designer since 2018.
Graphic design related to product packaging, apparel, music and advertising are all in Mitsutaka’s wheelhouse. Directing projects through design is his secret to finding clarity in ambiguous settings.
From Australia, Jess is known for her ability to make friends everywhere she goes. Jess enjoys kicking back and relaxing to jazz with an old fashioned.
Jess is a global communication professional, known for her ability to seamlessly bridge cultural and language gaps.
In her hometown of Sydney Jess majored in Finance, International Business and Japanese, and made the move to Tokyo after graduation. She has experience working in large domestic and foreign tech corporations, bridging the gap between online product developers and users. Her driver is to create great products that users love.
Jess is also passionate about creating equal opportunities for women in Japan. She is a bilingual English and Japanese speaker.
Born in South Korea, in his downtime Seungho enjoys eating icecream while watching Netflix.
Seungho is a global venture capitalist.
After studying abroad at both Tokyo Waseda University and Beijing University, Seungho returned to his home country to work as a professional translator in the air force. He then moved to Tokyo to work in an international tax consulting firm, later joining a Japanese venture capital firm to do investment strategy.
Seungho has gained a wide range of experience in Japanese market research, industry analysis, foreign case analysis, and translation related to investing abroad.
Seungho is our other resident polyglot, fluent in Japanese, Chinese, English, Korean and Russian.
